barcelona never stops to amuse its guests and tourists. if you already explored enough cultural gems – museums, its marvelous architectural styles, parks and galleries of art.. – seek to find the most surprising and unusual arts of the streets.

some of street art manifestations are easily found – for example at la rambla, one of the landmark streets of the city that goes from plaza catalunya to the port vell harbor. living statues, standing in the middle of this pedestrian zone will amuse you with their characters featuring mythological creatures and celebrities, historical and imaginary characters.

for a nominal fee you will get a chance to make funny picture with columbus, soldier from the past century or fairies of the old legends.

another kind of sculptures can be found at the beach – take an evening walk along the port olympic, along barceloneta beach to enjoy the seashore and capture curious sand sculptures, built by local masters.

probably you already noticed part of visual street arts, when digging into the narrow  streets and getting away from the popular paths – every second corner in the inner part of the city has its unique appearance, reached by the art of street painters. graffiti – writings or drawings, scribbled, painted with the marker pans, or most often, sprayed on walls or buildings in the public places.

especially plenty of graffiti you can see in el raval and el born areas or if taking a walk through the narrow streets of gracia.

madrid offers the opportunity to enjoy the sunset from various spots.

el parque del cerro del tio pio” is considered to be one of the best places to witness the sun setting, in combination with a great view of the city.

this beautiful park used to be a dump. after being buried and reconverted, it transformed to this park composed by seven hills. spanish people with the amount of imagination needed can see the similarity between these hills and women breast. this is why the park is also commonly known as “parque de las siete tetas” which translates to “park of the seven breasts”

being on top of any of the seven hills offers an amazing panoramic view of madrid from its southern part. parque de las siete tetas is a great way to relax from the city centers rush while enjoying an amazing colour combination!

reaching the park is easy by bus or metro from the city center.

visit the park on a nice weather day and be sure to not miss this beautiful sunset!

lanzarote gives to everyone a great chance to enjoy its unique landscapes, nature and numerous opportunities for outdoor activities like different kinds of watersports,  hiking and trekking, parasailing, horse riding, mountain biking, golf and tennis courses  and more..

nevertheless it will be a loss to forget about cultural activities as well – visit wineries for regional wines degustation, learn more about local sports – like famous canarian fighting, attracting many athletes from all over the globe, walk around the places of olympic games, that were held here, taking marine excursions to self-drive exploring the splendid landscapes.

did you hear that in lanzarote there are more than 100 open volcanoes?

lanzarote offers countless ways to enjoy your time here all year round and it will need much time to see all the beauties of the island and discover its hidden secrets and mystery.

the best way to discover the island – is to take a map, rent a car and visit all the best sights of it, getting familiar with the life of the island on the way.

where to start your route from? – this is not a difficult question, due to the geographical conditions. but where to go, not to pass any significant piece of the island´s attractiveness – that could be more challenging.

let’s start our tourist route from the north, going to the south beaches of the island.

first point to see on your way, after you discover splendid beaches – is “cueva de los verdes” – green caves, the longest tunnel formed by the la corona volcano.  extending, tunnel goes from volcano to the underwater stretch, named “tunel de la atlantida ”(tunnel of atlantis).

in the village guatiza found a unique cactus garden of 5000 m2 created by cesar manrique. this garden has more than 1500 species of cactus. and on the opposite side of the road you will find a teneguime – one of the oldest geological parts of the island that shows an example of shaped canyon erosion crease.

continuing our route we will take off the main auto road and go to the west – to discover the former capital of spain – city teguise and lagomar residence – house with the garden built in the volcanic rock. do not miss santa barbara castle of 16 century. next stop on the way will be foundation of cesar manrique(who performed a major contribution to the planning of lanzarote), opened after his death in 1992.

if you are lucky to arrive in teguise on the market day – there you can look for interesting local souvenirs and crafts.  market usually takes place at the mall las cucharas.

after having a pleasant break off the road – follow the west to visit ethnographic museum of tanit or “bodega el grifo”  – popular museum of wines of the island. nearby is located wonderful “cueva de los naturalistas”.

and definitely you should not miss a trip to the timanfaya national natural park with its spectacular volcanic landscapes and green lake.

the green lake or  “lago verde” that located at the floor of the ancient volcano el golfo, is formed in a place where volcano and sea meet. lake is preserved and protected. stunning green color is unforgettable bright and spectacular.

do not miss a chance to see another miracle of nature – “los jameos del agua”, described as the eighth wonder of the world – part of collapsed volcanic tube, that forms unique underground water garden with the open skylight. especially recommended to visit it at night.

and another creation of cesar manrique  – “mirador del rio”  original architectural viewpoint the provides stunning views of the la graciosa island  – stunning  volcanic island located two kilometers north of the island lanzarote and belonging to the  chinijo archipelago conservation area. this island is definitely deserves to be paid special attention to.

finally, do not forget take some time for resting in its marvelous beaches;  papagayo, dourada, famara…

on your trip find time to enjoy amazing gastronomy of lanzarote, that takes its roots in spanish cuisine, influenced by african, latin and aboriginal recipes: “albóndigas” (meatballs), “pimientos de padrón” (little spicy peppers), “conejo” (lamb stew), “sancocho” (fish stew with seabream),  “ofio” (flour made with toasted maize), “frangollo” (a corn-based milk pudding flavored with cinnamon, honey and brandy), “papas arrugadas con mojo”
(small potatoes boiled in their jackets with mojo sauce)…
